FAQ'S for Portrait commissions

What do you use?
I use a combination of pastel pencils, soft pastels & pan pastels on Clairefontaine pastelmat.
​
How long will it take?
Please allow 2 - 4 weeks 'turnaround' for a single pet portrait, as it can take 40+hrs of concentrated work to create a detailed portrait.
​
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes, I require a 50% non-refundable deposit before I will start work on any commission, with the balance due after completion of the portrait prior to shipping.
​
How will the finished portrait be sent?
All portraits will be sent mounted, ready to frame, placed under a sheet of glassine paper & packaged between foam board to protect against damage or smudging during transportation/shipping, sent via Australia Post with a tracking number - Free shipping for portraits within Australia.​

What’s included?
All portraits will come with a certificate of Authenticity & information guide about pastels & framing tips.

Can I use any photo?
No, due to copyright law, all photos taken by a professional photographer will require permission from the photographer before I can use them! All photos must be good quality clear images as the quality & detail of the finished portrait is fully dependent on the provided photos – Blurry or unclear photos take longer to work from & require some guess work to fill in the details which could result in a less than accurate representation of your pet.

What sizes are the Portraits?
My portraits are available in four sizes:

13cm x 13cm (5”x 5”) - head & shoulders only
-
21cm x 15cm (6" x 8") - head & shoulders only
-
30cm x 20cm (12”x 8”) - full body | head & shoulders
-
40cm x 30cm (16”x 11.5”) - full body | head & shoulders

Can I have more than one pet in the same portrait?
​Yes, you can definitely have more than one pet in the same portrait! You just need to send through photos of each pet that you want to include, I will then come up with some 'mock' compositions which I will send to you for your approval.​
Does it cost extra to add an additional pet to the same portrait?
I am including one additional subject in same portrait at no extra charge. More than one additional subject in the same portrait will incur an extra charge of 20% due to the extra time and work involved.
Please Note:
This option is not available for the 13 x 13cm portrait due to the size.
Maximum of two pets - head & shoulders only - for the 21 x 15cm size
Full body options are only available for 30 x 20cm - 40 x 30cm sizes
​Can I be included in the portrait with my pet?
Yes, you can! I love to create portraits of pets & their people!

Do you have a payment plan?
I'm happy to discuss a payment plan option on the understanding that the portrait will only be shipped after the receipt of the final installment.

FAQs for Print-on-Demand Products
How long does it take to receive my order?
Production typically takes 2–7 business days, and shipping times vary depending on your location. You’ll receive a tracking number once your order ships.

Where are your products made and shipped from?
My print-on-demand items are produced and shipped by trusted fulfillment partners from locations closest to you to ensure faster delivery.

Can I return or exchange print-on-demand items?
Because each item is made to order, I don't offer returns or exchanges unless there is a defect or the item arrives damaged. Please contact me with any issues.

What happens if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?
If your order arrives damaged, misprinted, or incorrect, please contact me within 7 days with a photo of the item and I’ll sort out a replacement or refund.

How do I care for my print-on-demand products?
Care instructions will vary depending on the item. Apparel should be washed inside out on a gentle cycle. Mugs and drinkware are typically dishwasher and microwave safe unless otherwise noted.

Will the colours match exactly what I see on screen?
While I do my best to represent colours accurately, slight variations may occur due to different screen settings and the printing process.

Can I cancel or change my order?
Orders can only be changed or canceled within a few hours of purchase, as they go into production quickly. If you need to make changes, contact me ASAP.

Do you offer gift wrapping?
Unfortunately, at this time, my fulfillment partners do not offer gift wrapping.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes! Many of my print-on-demand products can be shipped worldwide. Shipping times and rates may vary by location.
